I have 4 vacuum cleaners for the cars I detail.
1. Craftsman Shop Vac For the really big stuff. Dried mud, sand, gravel, etc.
2. Dirt Devil Upright with tools Surprisingly, this is the vac I seem to use the most for "normal" carpet, floormat and upholstery vacuuming. Great suction with the hose accessories.
3. Eureka "Toolbox" Vac I initially bought this vac because it was in a convenient toolbox format, but it just doesn't have any sucking power. Great design, but poor performance. I guess that explains the cheap price. NOT recommended.
4. Dirt Devil Hand Vac Powerful motor, really good for large flat surfaces, like the rear carpet pad of an SUV. Not good for smaller areas such as the crevices near the seat tracks.
