what kind of Digital Camera...?

I might add that I think dpreview.com as listed earlier is an incredible site. I also highly recommend a Nikon D50 or D70s.

I dont know which modle i hve my mom has it on her vaction (shes in New York) its sad to hear there no longer alive but i do enjoy my camera

just my opinion but I would stick with the canons. My family has 6 of them in the last two years and not a problem with one of them. I choose the canon power shot s70 cuz it has a 35 mm telaphoto lens instead of the 28 reg lens which gives you a wider shot. This camera also has a 7 megga pixels. All these cameras we bought are less than $400.00 . just my .02

I have a Sony DSC-W1. My next camera will most likely be a Canon Powershot A620. My friend has one and the picture quality is incredible.

Just love having all this information. I have a little less than three weeks before I need to order a camera. Have put every link into a folder and have perused a lot of sites for price.

At least now I have an idea of which camera will do the kind of thing that I am looking for. My old Digitrex just seemd to be lacking a little in picture quality when compared to other detailers pictures that was I kept in awe of.

Keep up the responses for I will read them all before I make a final decision.

I've never even heard of Dititrex was that the brand or model? As far as image quality goes all the shots you see online are compressed to an extent so don't get to hung up on MPs when shopping for a camera, because your image will just get compressed. 4-5 MPs is a good amount if you plan on printing, just always make sure you have the camera on the highest image quality settings.

Digitrex is the name of the camera. My wife purchased it thru her many forays into the internet Zone. Was a good cheap camera for a year. All it did is fuel my desire to purchase a higher end camera.

Three have piqued my interest in the last few hours of general over view of camera lines. Canon, Nikon, and one Panasonic. Will do direct comparisons tonite after I finish detailing the truck this afternoon. Have just been perusing while the layers of products dry on my truck.
