With all of these new waxes coming out like Swissvax and Paul Dalton's new wax made by Swissvax and then you have the original expensive wax Zymol. I am wondering what most people think is the most you should have to pay for a wax.

I remember when Pinnacle Souveran came out and everybody used to complain about it being 40 or 50 bucks, well now it is up to $80 I think and there even seems to be a lot of people using $200 on up waxes and not thinking twice. I even see plenty of people using Vintage which is approx $2000 with lifetime refills (but you have to pay shipping which is pretty expensive).

What do YOU think is the most you should have to pay for a wax?

I am not saying these waxes are good or bad, the few I used are actually quite nice, just would love to hear everybody on here's opinions.

I apologize if this topic is already being beat to death.

$80 is a still a bit too high for me. I think for me $50 would be the limit if I actually do decide to spend that much on a wax. I'll pick $80 only because I wouldn't mind spending more than $20, but never more than $80.

I have some Zymol on the way, I plan to use it as an upsell item so it will pay for itself.

At this point I wouldn't spend more than $500 on a wax, but that can all change with time and the right customer base

Probably not more than $30-$40.

I find it funny that when people spend a ton of money on wax they say they can see such a big difference, yet I bet if they did a blind test side by side on perfect paint they would have no idea the expensive wax was used on.

We had this same question a few months ago. Vintage $1800.00 with unlimited refills. I want the best.

I would pay $60.00 to $75.00 for a wax, but I would spend more on a quality sealant that had great looks and durability.............:xyxthumbs

For my personal cars - $15.95 for Zaino Z-5pro.

For a customers, the sky is the limit. I just spent $235 on Swissvax Concorso for a BMW 550i and $550 on Swissvax Mystery for a Murcielago. The customers like it.

I haven't done Souveran yet, but I'm sure I will sometime within the next 6 months. I don't know how much longer I can hold off, lol. But that would be only for my car. Otherwise, no more than $50.

Please don't take this personally, but spending 125 dollars on a wax is just silly. Spending 500 dollars on a wax is plain silly. Spending 2000 dollars on a wax is insanity. To each his own and I truly do live by that rule, so all of those out there that spend that kind of money, good for you and I hope it is worth it. I just can't see myself spending that kind of money. I guess what it comes down too is that I jsut don't believe that my cars and the cars of my customers would look that much better. Infact, I KNOW that they can't look that much better. I have tried every wax under the sun (not litterally) that falls under the 80 dollar range and when it comes down too it, there really isn't that much difference. Durability wise there is a huge difference. But if a wax lasted long enough to be worth 2 grand then we would all be out of business.

Now I usually b**ch about people being negative on here, so please don't take any of this personally. I am sure I have spent way too much on other things that a lot of you would call me crazy for.

Pretty bad poll..

I reccon 99% of the people here would buy wax's under $100.

So should have put a few more options in like. $25, $50, $75, $100

In my view there is no wax worth a $200 or higher price tag. Even if you assume it is the absolute best in durability, gloss, shine etc. the delta between that wax and a $35 wax is going to be so small as to not justify the additional expense.

About $25.00 USPS Priority with insurance of $350. Diane at Zymol said to ins it for $350... Why not spend your money on something you fully enjoy doing. You have 1 time here. Then I will see the pearly gates. And I hope my Vintage is right with me. Your right about the differance between say Souveran and Vintage. Is it worth the difference to most no. To me, yes.

How much is shipping exactly? I'm only 22 and plan on doing plenty of detailing.
