What is the best way to post pictures?

I am sure this is somewhere but I searched and searched and could not find an answer. I have posted pictures to threads using the "Attach Files" option.
1. Is there a better way? If so, please explain it step by step.
2. How do you add text prior to, and after the picture?
3. Maybe the answers could be a sticky
If this has been answered just post a link to the information.

What you could do is upload the pics to your gallery and hotlink them from there.

Eg
I went to your photogallery and click on the smaller jpeg file.
On the pic, right click your mouse and click on properties.
Highlight the and rightclick the mouse and choos...4-R1-13-12-med.jpg[/IMG] Hope this helps :)

The picture http://www.detailcity.com/photopost/data/500/862120454-R1-13-12-med.jpg will appear in the other forums but not here, I guess Dwayne disables hotlinking in Bugs & Glitches forum

I knew there was a better way than just attaching the picture files. I guess using this method will require some planning though because you have to wait for the gallery pictures to be approved.
