What is the best car wash shampoo and why??

I use Meg's Gold Class and like it. Provides good sudding and good lubricity. But I'm going to try CG Citrus Wash & Gloss once the weather gets better. I've heard good things about it.

I gotta say that I have use a few cheaper OTC car wash soaps, and have been really disapointed ..... in comparison .... to soaps like Adam's and Ultima. It wasn't until I started checking these out that I realized the differences. Much foamier, longer lasting suds, better feel, better smell usually (minor), and less marring. Just overall better products IMHO.

Oh and ONR rocks. In so many ways.

I have been wanting to try Perlz someday...

Ok, I made a big purchase today and I splurged and got some car wash soap ($12 gallon, lol) I got the 4 Star AWS. Im gonna try it out on my Mercedes on Friday. I bought some Eagle One Nanowax soap the other day and tried it on my work truck and it worked well, lots of suds and great smell.

if money isnt an object, i love Z7. It simply amazing

Z7 is great stuff, but I've been a little disappointed in the last few bottles I've bought. Z7 doesn't seem to produce near the suds that it used to. If you wanted to,you could wash nearly the whole car with just the first mittfull of suds! The whole bucket would wash several cars too if you wished. Don't get me wrong though! I've never done either one because that would be improper washing technique.

You could for sure wash the whole car without having to spray more water in the bucket. Now I have to respray in the wash bucket several times for more suds. I don't know what has changed, but something is different to me.

I have used a lot of otc and pro shampoos and can say personally i can see no visible difference with the results for gloss and slickness. I think adding a qd spray with the wash is a good way to offer a premium wash for a customer. that is what i do.

I really enjoy using CG Wash 'n Gloss but I have to be careful because the wrong dilution will strip sealants and waxes. I had a gallon of Megs Gold Class left and mixed four ounces with 5 gallons the other day and forgot how great of a shampoo it is. Very nice and gentle. When I'm done with it, I'll try the Duragloss 901/902.

I've tried many, and my favorite is definitely Ultima Paint Guard Wash. The suds are endless, cleans very well without stripping your LSP, it has incredible lubricity, and it leaves a nice shine.

I like ONR a lot ,but love Z7. So now I just add some Z7 to my ONR .

For just a regular wash Z7 is the ultimate.
