What is Pep Boys thinking?

I stopped by Pep Boys today trying to find ONR (and of course, they didn't have any) And found this:

Yes, that is a real whisk broom, no different than what you clean your front porch with. What the heck?

That is actually an excellent swirl remover. Just wipe it on the paint, and it will be so scratched that swirls are no longer visible.

John

I use mine to remove pollen I'm glad it has other uses!

When I thought I've seen it all....a wooden broom for car care. I thought Carrand would have much better sense in making detail accessories.

Also Brett, you're not going to find ONR otc unless you have a distributer around you. You are going to have to order it online.

Underbody or wheel wells or engine bay perhaps?

IMO it would be too rough for painted engine bays or painted wheel wells. underbody is possible, but it wasn't noted anywhere on the label that it should never be used on delicate surfaces.

BTW, I love these responses!

I found ONR at Ace hardware, out of all places. it was kind of funny finding it there.

Whisk brooms used to be pretty popular for folks to keep in their cars to sweep out the interiors before easily portable vacs came along. I remember my grandad keeping on in his truck on up until I was a good bit older. Maybe you are all a bunch of whippersnappers or something, but I don't get what the joke is here.

If more mommies used these in their mini-vans, the world might be a better place. For vesicles without tubbed floors, this work work very well for quick spruce up.

Yes -- we used to use them to sweep out the floor of the grain trucks (on the farm). They worked quite well. I haven't seen one in years.

I also want to hear more about obtaining ONR OTC? That's really the only product I do mail order.

To all that ask about ONR: I just cruised into Ace hardware to get some bolts and took a peek in their car section. They had ONR and I was stoked.
