What is a good Hot Extractor that is powerful and affordable ? Please help

Please give me some suggestions on good Hot Extractor that is powerful and somewhat affordable, I want to buy one but still looking and checking all of them out

As indicated in an article I wrote for Professional Carwashing & Detailing magazine there are several factors to consider when choosing an extractor:



a. What can you afford to pay? You may want to drive a Mercedes, but can only afford a VW

b. How many cars do you detail per day?

c. Consider the size of the vacuum motor - either 2 stage or 3 stage, the latter being more powerful

d. Heater - inline or tank. The inline is considered the better of the two

e. Wattage of the inline heater - from 1000 to 2400 watts

f. Pump - most are 100 psi, although some are 150psi and some units have a high pressure pump 400psi

g. Extractor Hose - solution line strapped on or hidden inside the vacuum hose, the latter easier to use

h. Extractor Nozzle - plastic or stainless steel. The latter is better since it will not break or wear out. You also want one with a view window in the nozzle to see what you are extracting

i. Spray Tip - most are just weled to the bottom of the nozzle and can get overspray on areas. There are deluxe nozzles

with enclosures around the spray tip as wide as the extractor nozzle keeping spray in control



Those are all factors to consider in choosing an extractor. Whose is better? They all use basically the same vacuum motor brand; same pump brand and inline heaters are about the same (although some better than others). So the features you get for the money is the quesiton.



But more than that the BOTTOMLINE is: How much can you afford to pay. If you only want to pay $600 say, you will get only the bottom end of extractors available. You pay $2,000 you can get top of the line.

Check craigslist, or ebay - sometimes you can find a decent deal. i've wanted one for a while, but it's not needed on most of my details so I can't quite justify the expense.
 
Another vote for Century 400 extractors here. I have had the Sensei for about 5 years now and love the thing. The Ninja Warrior will be my next purchase.
 
$2250 is a lot of cash for an extractor..... At that price point, I'd be looking at every option available to me. U.S. Products makes a dual 110V extractor with a 3-stage vacuum as well.

That's not a bad price for a machine like that.





If you're in the market you should consult with you're local carpet cleaning supply places, especially if they service them as well. Also know that there are a lot of rebranded machines just as there chemicals.





I haven't heard good things about US Products.
