What interior protectant do you use?

I used a combination of Malco Perfect 10 (aerosol) and Chemical Guys Silk shine. The Malco product is great because the aerosol element to the product allows it to reach hard to reach places. (i.e vents, crevices, etc.) The CG Silk shine is a great "low gloss armor-all". It's not runny, it's not greasy, it doesn't streak, it smells clean, and.... seems to repel dust.

I alternate both product as needed throughout the interior.

+1 on the 303.

It's available locally at REI where I live -- I think you can visit their site to see who retails it in your area.

I use the 303 Aerospace Pretectant. If you go to their website, you can enter your zip code and it will tell you where you can get it.

On a side note, I used the Meg's Interior Quick Detailer today and it sucked. It made the interior look blotchy and dull. I shook well, and wiped with a high quality MF and it still sucked.

Kinda baffled. lol

303 mostly. Although I also occasionally use the Sonus twins - Total Eclipse and Cockpit Detailer. One is the cleaner and the other is the protectant. I have a bottle of all of these products.

....I've been a long time user of 1Z CP and found that Meguiars Quik Interior Detailer is very similar. The newer formulation apparently has UV inhibitors in it and does require a pass with the dry side of your towel (or a fresh towel) but doesn't leave any sort of shine behind. I'm a big user of 303 but I don't like the satin-like finish it leaves or the smell in the cabin. ....I like a matte/OEM, clean look on my interior bits.

As for blotchiness, I can't say that I have had that issue. I fold my towel in 1/4 and then dampen one side. I wipe the panel with the wet side and then do a couple of quick passes with the dry side. The newer formulation does seem to apply a bit differently but I haven't had any problems with patchiness so far. As for being "dull", the finish it leaves is the natural, OEM look. ....like the bottle says, "restores and protects the original finish". If you're after any kind of shine, this product or others like 1ZCP are definitely not for you.

Protectant? Simple...just tint your windows. I'm not a fan of "protectants" as they leave a finish no new car will ever come with. I'm a huge fan of Megs's Quick Interior Detailer. It leaves no residue and/or gloss and will not harm any delicate surfaces often found in euro cars.

Not really a shine that I'm looking for. More of a "healthy" finish, like the 303 I guess. I guess I'm pretty new to the product selection and expected the dash to look different after I applied it than before I applied it. Other wise i could just wipe it off with a clean rag, throw $5 out the window and call it a day.:lol

The Sonus Cockpit Detailer is really nice, has a low sheen doesn't leave the "brush strokes" like 303 does.

1Z Einszett Cockpit Premium has basically no sheen like Meguairs Interior Detailer.

Let me know when any state allows the front window to be tinted. ;) I always tint my cars and I STILL take time (when I have time) to apply some sort of protectant to the vehicles interior.

Either of those available OTC? I have a good bit of 303 left, but I'd like to alternate something a little cheaper in between deep cleanings. That's why I grabbed the Megs. Just something to use like a QD when giving a quick wipe down.

Probably not, they are premium products and probably online only or if you have a body shop or auto centre that carries premium/high end products. No chain that I have ever heard of carries these items.

Windshield tint = ghetto. I always keep a clean microfiber towel in the car to wipe down the dash as I'm stuck in traffic, the bank drive through, etc. I've never needed any "protectant" since using the Megs Q.I.D. I found the "protectants" ruined my dashes quicker in my previous cars especially in this Florida heat.
