Jeff's Werkstatt Acyrlic Jett and all his products. Use to get rave reviews here ????

Menerza FMJ ???

Still around, still great products. People always seem to talk about their new products even though they still use the old. I still use carnububa jett and acrylic jett regularly.

List your what ever happen to product that has received little posting.

Here are a few I wonder about from time to time:

  • Stage 1 Prewash. It was a pre-soak spray that was supposed to soften/lift dirt off the panels to better facilitate a marring-free wash.

  • Seemed to work OK but it didn't really impress me all that much. Might be more impressive when used with a less intense wash regimen than mine though.

  • Pro-Wax has apparently dicontinued their paste cleaner wax...forget what the number was, we just called it "Pro Blue" (as opposed to their yellow straight wax, which is #41 IIRC). Used a lot if this stuff back in the '70s.

  • There was a brand called "Snap" that featured cool pics of classic cars on the product containers. Pretty wide range of products for OTC.

Good post Accumulator. Maybe some others will chime in. You don't hear much about Mothers products. Very good OTC products.

I am the only person who talks up Sonax Wheel Cleaner, an OTC (BMW dealerships - also branded BMW) gel wheel cleaner that offers fantastic performance and costs less than P21S (even the rebranded version sold by Harley Davidson dealerships as S100). Does that count?

I also love the wash shampoo gel and metal/chrome polish/sealant that NAPA Auto Parts carries. I have been using them since the beginning. I believe they are branded as Bodypro.

Can we even get Sonax in the US? I remember members when I first joined bemoaning the fact that Sonax wasn't available in the US anymore. Then someone (I think from Canada) started a thread saying he was the new North American importer and was going to be bringing it to the states shortly, which never happened. Then Autogeek was selling Sonax, but they don't seem to be now.

Anyway, as far as "what ever happened to..." Sonax, I'd say what happened is we can't get it. I guess you Canucks have two up on us...Erazer clay and Sonax...

I use AJ and like it.. excellent durability and ease of use (if applied properly). Truthfully though, I'm not all that impressed with the appearance.

Not that it looks dull, it's just not a 'wow' type look. A nice gloss enhancing QD or spray sealant does amp up the look, however.
