What do you think of my website?

Knox Details

New member
Hey guys, ive been trolling on here for a while and decided to create an account today. Ive created a website with godaddy.com and their website tonight program. It is pretty easy to use. However, it will be a while until I can afford to get a professionaly made site. I have the 10 page option and so i have room to expand. Let me know what you think. All imput will be greatly appreciated! I realy need to draw in more business for my weekends!

My website is knoxdetails.com

Thanks in advance,

Tim Buxton

Looks pretty good...easy to navigate. In your "Customer Cars" section you have a slide show on loop...is there anyway to have the before and after pics come one after another (in synchronization) instead of a before picture being shown and then the after picture shown 3 pictures later?

JPostal,

I have been trying to figure that out. When I build each slideshow I put them in order. However, it never turns out how i want it to!! Thanks for your imput. I want it to be easy to navigate.

I have a graphic designer coming over this wednsday to try and get a logo done up!! I cant wait

The weather thing is pretty cool. Two edges to that sword tho, some may think they can't have their ride detailed tomorrow because the next day(or 2) it will rain.

Great site. I would definitely recommend running all your text through MS word or something with spell check before putting it on a website however, people tend to get turned off by that. Just my .02

Your prices are waaayyyy too low. So for $120 I can get some type of paint correction... Come do mine please.

You may not want the type of 'paint correction' people do for $120 bucks. :har:

Cool cool thanks for the imput! I will make revisions this week. I need to spend some quality time with the site and get it up to speed.

Yea...Got Leather made good call-out my prices are to low.

you may want to size down your images a bit. By size down i don’t mean actually make them smaller, I mean decrease the resolution/quality to help increase speed.

That is also a good idea, thanks for the input guys.

I know some of you are saying 120 bucks.. man.. this guy must be a frickin idiot an his work must be awful. I have a hard time selling 300+ dollar details. I try hard to give my customers alot of value and I have been to nice and let people take advantage of me. You guys would be damn impressed with what I have done for $120. I'm learning that I am the one who loses.. even if i average $20 an hour.

So this is where I stand. I have a graphic designer coming over to work on a logo tomorro afternoon. Once I am happy with a logo I will be able to make business cards and work on simple advertising ideas. I need to get my business license..its cheap in TN. I feel like once my business is legit I have more of a basis to charge on and not feel bad about it. Insurance will soon follow.

I have a good product selection. However, im seing if i have the funds to order some Meg's 105 and 205 then I will be content for a while. I use lake country pads and Meg's Swirl remover2.0 with an Porter Cable 7242. Wax with collinite476 or Griots best of show depending on application.

I cant wait to do a good write up to show you guys what i can do.
