What do you rock out to when detailing? Everyone

Joe I see that, when it is just me and the car, sometimes it is Zen, other times it can be misery without music! Depends on the mood and the car.

I'll listen to some Jazz Vocals (Ella Fitzgerald, Bobby Darin, Etta James...), & move on to some Classic Rock.

bump with dane cook. his alst comedy segment with the dave attel special was awesome. never laughed soo hard in my life...

"Whergh th hangal?"

edit: oh yeah, to answer the question: nothing. Detailing is like a super zen thing for me, I like to hear the wind and birds, the sprayers, etc...I'm so relaxed by the time I'm done I want to go to sleep.

Usually nothing as I am usually onsite where the client specifies. I have taught myself to work without music. I actually get some really complex thinking going on when working though :).

One client introduced me to "The Clash" and played the entire London Calling album...I've been hooked since. Other than that, client's tend to put on the classic rock stations which I enjoy very much as well.

I've found that I don't really listen to music anymore while detailing. I'm pretty picky when it comes to music, so I get easily frustrated having to change the song every minute. I just think happy thoughts while working, seems to do the trick for me.

If I'm detailing at home I usually just turn on the radio to a top 40 or country station, or plug in the iPod and rock out to all my songs I have on there. If I'm at someone's house, I rock out to all the thinking that goes on in my head when I'm detailing

I just bought Dane Cook's Comedy show on cd. Heard it on the way home and plan on hearing it again tomorrow while I work on my friends beater.

I do! Must be a Carolina thing lol. I always listen to CDB when detailing. However, I cant take the "new" /pretty boy country singers though.

depends on my mood, few artists I like to listen to are...

Beck
Modest Mouse
Portishead
Sage Francis
Iron & Wine
Josh Martinez
Prolyphic
Death Cab for Cutie
Alias
Why?

I like just about any and all music. Seriously, I'll listen to hip-hop, country, jazz, rock, broadway, whatever strike my fancy at the moment.

Though I have hundreds of CDs, I have grown tired of the repetition so I got XM.

When I'm working on my car, you will hear the blues, big band, southern rock or rap.

There just ain't no telling.
