Some dealerships use AutoInt/ValuGard, and that's not *bad* stuff. Stoddard used to use decent 3M products (dunno what they use now).
As I've posted before, the dealer applied "lifetime sealants" (scare-quotes intentional) work out OK for some people I know; they get them for free as part of the new car bargaining and then actually insist that the dealer do the no-cost rejuvenation on a regular basis. Doesn't make for an "Autopian" finish, but it's OK for normal folks who aren't gonna have any serious detailing done.
