What did Poorboy do on his Birthday?

What else i cleaned my car and truck:D

Thought I'd experiment with some Bug Squash as a tar remover and pre-wash to start....these are some of the befores;)

Steps used:

Rinse with water
2 buckets and two large cotton mitts
Super Slick & Suds about 1/2 ounce in one bucket other bucket clean water
Sprayed tar area with Bug Squash and proceeded to wash car from roof down
rinsing and chuning mitt #1 after each panel in clean water, rinsing each panel after washing
Used mitt #1 on upper half of car and then put it aside...
Used mitt #2 to start washing below the moulding line...started with the rear area where tar was the worst and it came off like butter, the tar had practically disolved with the Bug Squash...continued with same procedure of doing a panel and rinsing mitt and panel.
Then came the wheels:nono ...my wife had driven through some fresh tar and some of it was pretty thick.:eek Sprayed on Spray & Rinse on all four wheels and waited a few minutes also made sure it didn't dry on the wheels...first rinse removed 90% of the tar and all the brake dust...the tar had been on for a couple weeks and it showed.:( Re-applied S&R and aggitated with a soft brush over the thick tar, then rinsed...99% of the tar is gone but it looks like the wheels may need a little polish to finish the job completely.
When it came time to dry the car, it was almost completely dry (EX-P applied before Thanksgiving) , I used some Spray & Gloss and a Waffle weave and went over the whole car...only one Waffle Weave towel was needed and dried the wheels with an old cotton towel. Sprayed on some Bold N Bright on the tires, cleaned up and took a shower. Came back and gave the tires a quick wipe with a sponge applicator to make sure it was even and called it a day as I had other things and work to do...
Well that was my treat for my Birthday:)

The truck looks great Steve I see the Bug Squash worked nicely at removing the road tar. Glad you had some beautiful weather for your B-Day and enjoy the rest of it.

I'm jealous, I didn't get to wash or wax anything on my birthday. :(

Of course - it does look great! But I supect you knew it would. ;)

Dang sweet results. Yet another product to this list. Steve this isn't ALLL you did hmm? :D

:lol ..until recently I had no clue how to do pictures...as to quote a friend " technology mocks me:D"

Glad to see it looks like you had a pretty good day!! :D

And the vehicles are lookin' good too!! :bigups

But one question (you can wait til tomorrow to answer it ;)) - how does one "chun" a mitt?

I'm gonna be amazed and very happy if Bug Squash works on a "seriously" tarred up area. That was good work you did.

Happy Birthday Bro, and many many more. :D

Glad you had a good B-day.

One question though-how, as the owner of Poorboys, could you let your car get that dirty? :eek

Happy Birthday Steve!

A fellow Aries...well that explains our obsessions with autos.... :crazy

Looks great. I found the Bug Squash to work awesome with tar also. There's so much around since they are fixing the potholes.

A little BS........ and it melts away (which is how I got my wife too, by the way......)
I know.....that was bad....
