What combo to use?

My car is a black 98 honda prelude. Being a black car is such a love-hate relationship:o. With my three step, i've had not too good results. The shine looks good, but the dust attraction is a bit on the bad side, and the polish is a serious pain to work with. or perhaps it is my location in Riverside? :o anyways, I'm in the mood to try something new :D



I've read around, and i've pretty much narrowed my choices to the Klasse/p21s combo or BF/Souveran. my main concern dust attraction, there have been no complaints from the klasse combo, but for BF, i read that after enough Souveran coats, the dust issue is moot? Anyways, I'd like some opinions :) TIA! :)
 
On our three cars, I am presently using on one AIO/UPP, one with AIO/S100, the third, some Meguiar's Body scrub I had left and UPP. If you look at all three in the same light, I don't think you could tell what combo is on which vehicle. AIO seems to be a great base coat for anything you want to put on top of it. If you have access to S100, it will save you a few bucks over the P21S and seems to give the same results. It is often said they are the same product, but I really don't know.

I use both AIO/SG with S100/PS21 on my silver car and AIO/SG with souveran on the black vehicle. Personally, I feel that AIO/SG is a great combo (AIO is superior than BF as a base IMHO). Souveran gives a little deeper look than ps21 and is definitly slicker in feel. PS21 is probably longer lasting and attracts less dust than souveran. Both give excellent results, I would suggest going with the ps21 (save alot of bucks), but both are great (I use both so do not have to decide b/w them;) ).
 
In having asked the same question when I first started out here on Autopia, I just wanted to let you know that you will not find one definitive answer on this. It's all about personal preference and what products will work best with YOUR car's finish. Having two dark color cars myself, I have applied the P21S GEPC/Klasse AIO + SG/P21S Carnuba combo and absolutely love it. It has very minimal dust attraction and the shine and reflection are amazing. Next I'm going to try Zaino as it seemed to rank 2nd in all of my findings. Got to try them all before settling on one. I figure that's the only real way to find what works best. Good luck :xyxthumbs
 
If you are considering using P21S then I would abandon the Souveran idea. P21S just has too much of an edge on Souveran in the area of dust attraction. The appearance difference is something that would take a machine to tell the difference between. I would go for the P21S no matter what you are topping.
 
Perhaps i'll try BF + P21S. Or maybe i'll just get it all and try all the combinations :D this may get interesting...
