So, whats everyone doing next weekend? Vacation? BBQ? Fireworks??

I love fireworks, this is one of my favorite holidays! This and Thanksgiving! We see a fire work show here at a local high school, it's pretty well put together!

Just a buddies house here in the Inland Empire. No restrictions at his house. In my area of San Bernardino there are no fireworks allowed north of the 210 frwy.

Oh sweet! Some of the areas in the hills by me don't allow shows so they do one big one which is nice! One year we went down to Long Beach, thats was fun!

Getting my car ready for it's road trip to PA/MD the following weekend. Needs a good coat of sealant plus checking all the mechanicals. Packing up all my tools etc incase I need them.

Whats the trip for? Pack a good waterless wash for touch ups!;)

Smoking some Memphis style ribs, spending some much needed time with the family, and not thinking one thing about detailing a car.

For me, it's just another day at the office. Thats the crappy part about being a public servant. So I'll be scooping up drunks and mopping puke I'm sure.

Nice. I wouldn't mind going to one of the big show one day. Especially if it is near the water. Let's hope the hills stay safe this year.

We are doing that on the 5th. Haven't decided whether or not to do brisket or tri tip with the ribs. Probably tri tip though since we will be at a friend's on the 4th and I would have to start a brisket at about midnight for the 5th and I might be a little to out of it by then.

For those doing BBQ.... Lowes and Home Depot are selling 2x20lbs bags (40lbs total) of Kingsford charcoal for just under $10. Hell of a deal.

Awesome. I stocked up on Memorial Day but I guess I will go get more. Thanks for the heads up!

BBQ some tri-tips. Might check out a low key fireworks show here in irvine. Enjoying not working. Will probably do 22ple coating on at least one more wheel. Did one today. Process took about 3 hours. Jack up car, take wheel off. Clean wheel and barrel with Meg's wheel brightened, followed by degreaser to neutralize acid of wheel bright. Wash with mr pink. Wet wheel, spray with trix, agitate lightly with foam applicator. Rinse thoroughly, wash again with mr pink. Spray down with ONR as clay lube, clay wheel with medium clay, rinse. Dry wheel, go over full wheel with IPA. Apply coating with foam applicator on barrels, wait 5 min, lightly wipe with MF. Apply coating to front of wheel with foam paint applicators, wait 5 min, lightly wipe off high spots with MF. Put wheel back on, torque to spec. Wait 6 hours, apply 2nd light coat of coating with new foam paint applicator, buff after 5 min.
See what a PITA this is? And I actually enjoyed the process. This is what the detailing hobby does to you. Ha.
