What are my options?

I live in a complex with no sources for water, so I'm forced to rely on either a pay n spray or tunnel wash. The pay n spray has huge signs up that say "No Bucket Washing" and I don't want to use the giant soapy brush they have. Are tunnel washes that bad? It seems like that's my only option at this point.

Anyone have any ideas?

If you can run a 2 gallon bucket of water, you need to pick up some Optimum No Rense and Shine (ONR). This will allow you to effectively wash a car with about 2 gallons of water or so. All you will need other than ONR is a bucket, a couple of wash mitts and some micrfiber towles.

However, that implies that you at least have water in your apartment. However, if you don't even have that, I have so clue. I would hope that you at least have running water in your apartment.

How bout' buying a 10gal garden srayer from OSH for $20, filling w/water from your tub and your set. Hard to believe there's no water anywhere to hook up? Landscaping?

Regards......

If I didn't have running water at my place, a clean car would be the least of my worries!

Thanks for the ONR idea. There are sprinklers that pop up at night, but I really don't want to screw around with them.

pay and spray's are usually fine

We are fortunate in SA to have a brilliantly designed place with undercover dry and vac bays and high pressure warm shampoo that is pretty soft for an industrial brand

A car that has been detailed and LSP applied will never need to be cleaned with the soapy brush as the warm shampoo takes care of it and won't hurt your LSP

Just make sure to not spray the high pressure soap or water straight at the paint, have it slide along the paint. Take a watering can along with you to the place, do the soap and rinse and finish off with a flooding rinse or lackfinish and water with the can and then blot dry the car for a beautiful finish

Totally hands free.

Just use them. Park your car close, let it spray one side, in the middle of the spray, rinse QUICKLY. And then repeats!:grinno:

But on a serious note. ONR is the best route to go. It's $14-15 dollars for a 32oz on autogeek.net

Good Luck!

now you just have to deal with your neighbors who think your nuts washing your car in your parking spot with no hose!!!

Thats what i deal with at least!

Maybe I am off but I know my girlfriends apartment complex you can work on your car for any reason on the property. So I think I would check on that to be safe. I would guess that is the normal for most complex's. Maybe I am wrong.

But good luck with the ONR!
