i was wondering, i bought a pack of flannel towels form kragen a long time ago just for th heck of it. but that was when i didnt know much aobut detailing.

but what are flannel towels made for exactly?? no one uses it to buff, it sucks absorbing water so its useless for drying anything, it doesnt dust too well caus it doesnt have "hairs" that pick up dirt or dust, i sometimes use it as a basic shop towel wehn i work around the engine area... but thats kinda it.

so what exactly are flannel towels made for in terms of detailing?

I use them to wipe my hoses in the engine compartment or apply rubber dressing. That's about it.

I use them for windows. First I use the glass MF and then polish with the flannel. I also use it after Stoners/newspaper on the windshield bu just as a final buff. Works really great!!

I use these flannel cloths to buff out metal in the engine and tail pipes, etc.

I use these cloths with Brasso for light polishing and Blue Magic metal polish for the tougher jobs.

Also these flannel works great for shining up my brass!
