What and Where do I get the pads for my PC?

I got my new PC from lowes the other day. I have been reading about other people getting a "backer pad" and some other waxing and polishing pads. But they also been saying about different color pads. Could someone please hold my hand and give me directions to get the items. Does the colors mean anything? Thanks
 
You can find pads from any of our sponsers on the left. They will be very helpful in you choosing too. You will need a backing plate that connects to the pads. There are different colors of pads which measure there cutting power. You will want a light cut pad a few polishing pads and a finishing pad. usually your backing plate will be an inch less than the size of your pads. Do a little browsing and come back with any questions. The sponsers im sure will be happy to help you make your purchase.

Be aware that each manufacturer uses their own color schemes. A white colored Lake Country pad has a different level of cutting action than a white colored Edge pad.
