What a great client!

So, a design client of mine whose cars I've detailed (graphic/web designer/photographer by trade) sends me an email saying he's trading his E55 that I just detailed a few weeks ago. He's getting a new 750Li and wants to know, among the three colors he's looking at, which should he get and why :)

The three colors were:

1) Monaco Blue Metallic

2) Silver Gray Metallic

3) Titanium Gray Metallic

So, of course, I run down the pros and cons of each. The Monaco blue is a dark, almost black color out of direct sun. Deep and wet, but a possible PITA to keep clean and swirl-free. The Silver Gray is the best for hiding problems and the Titanium is a good compromise between the two. He decides on the Monaco, then the Titanium because the interior he wants isn't available on the Monaco.

I can't really advise him to let me do the full prep on the car, but he promises to make sure he gets one fresh off the truck and that the dealer doesn't install any swirls (he knows what to look for!) and doesn't apply any wax, glaze or tire gunk. I'm pretty sure the dealer will do a good PDI, since I've seen a couple of their recent deliveries and they're top-notch and swirl-free.

So, next week I should have a good set of photos of this fine new vehicle with what I'm anticipating to be AIO+SG or maybe a few coats of Z2pro. I think he's still planning on getting his Continental GT convertible in the fall... Now THAT is a sweet car :D

If anyone has a suggestion for what they think will be a better choice of products, feel free to give a shout. I'm just a little blown away that he's calling me to help make his decision. A vote of confidence, I suppose. I'm sure that detail on his E55 made him a few extra $$ on the trade :)
