JEEEESSI don't have the luxury of time to spend cleaning up the vehicles. My wife trashes out her Durango on a weekly basis and when I go to campus Wednesday afternoons, I take the hour in between classes to clean out her truck. There is usually enough to fill 2 or 3 wal-mart plastic baggies every week. It's usually:
cigarette cellophane and foil wrappers
empty cigarette packs
soda bottles and cans
junk mail and useless paperwork
broken pens and chewed up pencils
happy meal toys and wrappers
empty wal-mart baggies (thankfully I can USE these)
starbucks sleeves and cups and lids
cigarette butts that didn't make it into an empty soda can
half-smoked cigarettes she saves and never uses
expired coupons and grocery store receipts
I take anything worth keeping and toss it in the child seat or center console. Then I clean up all the trash and toss it in one of the nearby bins on campus. Then I wipe down every plastic bit in the interior with baby wipes and do the windows with invisible glass and paper towels or newspaper. I don't bother with the outside because I don't have time. If I'm lucky, I can hit a self-serve car wash on the way home. I'll try to take a few minutes to do the tires/wheels/trim while I'm there if she's not calling and nagging me to hurry up and get home.
If I had a wife like that she would be like the bowel weevil looking for a home.
