Wettest look possible?

If you only want it to look good for 24 hours, I would think UPP followed by Megs #7 Show Car glaze would make sense. The Megs has no staying power at all, but it makes for a very good short-term look. The UPP is uber slick and will provide longer term protection.

Thanks for all the advice!

TW85, i took the time to look at those pics (made a sandwich while the 56k was doing it's thing haha), that flake is sweet. UPP did that to my car too, i don't think my paint has that much flake in it though, it's a cayanne red pearl integra.

I don't think i'm gonna bypass the sealants though, becase won't the judges feel the paint? And slickness is key, and UPPx3 is pretty slick.

So would i UPPx3, Glaze it up, then S100 on top?

I'm gonna do a search on glazes, i'm a newbie to that stuff :) I'll keep all ya'lls comments in mind, but at the end, i'm probably gonna try out a few and see what i think i should go with.

I've never been able to spell "carnauba" right, I swear it looks diff every time. i might get out the talking dictionary to learn how to say it as well haha.

I have used Meguiras Machine glaze topped with 2 coats of UPP before, and it left a very wet look and still had the slickness of UPP. However, the durability of UPP was not as good as usual.

I would have to say that Pinnacle Souveran on black paint can look as wet as anything I have seen in person.

Alright, i did a search and this came up, it kinda answered my question but i have a little diff. I want the absolute deepest wettest look, durablity be damned. I need it to look good for 12-24 hrs.

Pic of the car. The car has just been repainted and is in perfect shape.

From what i read on here the best way to do this would be to use a carnubue wax. Such as S100/P21S or Pinnacle (Soviegn is kinda out of my price range though, but maybe not if it's <a href="the%20right%20stuff" onmouseover="window.status='the right stuff'; return true;" onmouseout="window.status=''; return true;">the right stuff for the job)

Alright, my question is would using an acylic based sealant, such as Klasse AIO and then following up the wax be better than having a layer of a regular sealant, such as UPP between those layers. Is that for durabilty or does it add to look?

I've read the debates on waxing on wax and have decided to do 2 coats for even coverage with in 24 hr intervals and using a detail spray very high in carnubue in order to maintain the finish at the show. I guess the combos ya'll suggested are good, but my only diff is that i don't care how long the deep wet look last.

Thanks in advance!

If it's a new paint job you'll want to prep it so that it's a mirror and then leave it with no wax. Paint that doesn't cure correctly is not a happy thing, and wax stops curing. If it only needs to be perfect for a day then a good buffing will probably do it.
