What is the purpose of wetsanding?
is it to take off the clearcoat down to the level of the scratch so there is no more scratch?
and compounding, how exactly does it help remove scratches? does it contain fillers?
also, when fixing deep scratches, is it necessary to use a layer of clearcoat? i dont understand how it is possible to fix a scratch without adding clearcoat; wouldnt that area be vulnerable to rusting? and wouldnt that area be less shinier than its surroudnings?
