Have you ran a flouresanat light over your work? The light will pull out missed areas when you buffed. The reason behind using the light is because at different times of the day you will notice different spots you missed when buffing, the light brings out the spots all at once. Just curious, looks good.

I detailed it under 3 rows of flourescent lights, and it was pretty good at showing me everything I missed... I also have 2 1000w halogen lamps now, so that will help next time :secret
 
Sounds good, sounds like you can land an airplane in your workspace, must be nice. I like to use the handheld flourescent light strip that you can move around in your hand for different light directions. Sometimes if you light from one direction and then an another the other will show what the first direction did not (weird).

I agree though, a handheld one would be good for going over the car after and making sure everywhere is perfect... Its gonna suck when I get old and can't see no more! :buffing:
 
Thats a nice sanding job. The shot of the side of the car all sanded is perfect. People dont know what the finished sanding job should look like and I know most would think they have ruined the car if they made it look the way it is supposed to look.
 
I did sand too close to the body trims and the edges of the fenders... Its not bad for sanding, but the compounding afterwards is easy to burn through the paint on edges... My tip would be stick to the flat areas!
 
Tight edges suck, so does door handels and emblems. If you have paint on the door handles and you have wetsanded close to them it is easy to burn the paint on the handle while trying to buff the paint on the flat panel. You can burn the paint on a door handle very quickly and you might not notice it until later.
