Car had some small pitting from acid rain and mild orange peel. I decided to sacrifice a bit of depth for a smoother finish.
I wet-sanded (by hand) the entire car with 2000 grit and again with 3000 grit.
Moved up to a rotary with a yellow pad and 3M PI-II to buff that out.
Moved up to an orange pad on the PC DA with Meguires #9 to take out the swirls.
Up to a black pad and 3M Machine Glaze to silk up the surface. Topped it with One Grand Blitz Wax.
Looking pretty good...
I have to give a HUGE thanks to everyone here at Autopia. Everything I know about machine polishing I learned from all of you!
