Wet Diamond clean up issue

I love Wet Diamond. My car is soooo slick. My problem is cleaning a Lake Country Red pad. The Wet Diamond is not water soluble and the product just will not come out of the pad. Snappy Clean has no apparent effect. Any tips on how to effectively clean a pad after a Wet Diamond application? Thanks.

Having some residual product in the pad is normal as long as its dedicated for Wet diamond application.

Just make sure you clean the pad thoroughly after each use and store it in a clean spot for next time. You wont be able to get out all of that milky blue color to release from the foam.

Dawn Power Disslover will get it out, but I just toss it. Just not worth the hassle.

I couldn't agree more. You will never get it out entirely. I have a Gold Kompressor Pad that is used for BFWD only!

I use Dawn Power Dissolver as well, two applications then into a ziplock bag labeled "BFWD" hot water helps as well but as the "J" said(Dave@streetdreams) you will not get all of it out of the pad or applicator imho.

So Bob exactly what temperature do you run the water when you say "hot water". Also are you using tap water for this application or another form of water, maybe purified or distilled? What color is the sink you are cleaning the pads at?

Sorry.. the J has the flu now... do you even know what the "flu" is? Of course not, you live in California where the weather is warm and people just seem happy to be alive! People in the dirty Jersey are getting grouchy because of 20degree temp drops, boo hoo:Boxing:

David,

Hope you are on the mend. Have to just ride it out till it leaves.
We have had nighttime temps in the low 40's and daytimes in the 50's for awhile now. Its going to get into the 30's for lows, by the end of the week, so I better get a Flu shot soon, eh ?

Take good care, thanks for all the hard work you do to help us !

Wait a minute, even the Jersey Shore ended up on South Beach! I'm guessing Hurricane Snooki may wipe out the cast and MTV will be screwed.

The Situation

P.S. I hope you feel better soon David.

P.P.S. Just to stay on topic I have a few dedicated gold, red and blue LC pads I wash out with APC (and sometimes Dawn Power Dissolver) then completely flush with water, let dry and put in ziploc bags to stay clean. That practice keeps my IROC Z28 looking gangsta!

Do this over an empty bucket!

I use IPA (isopropyl alcohol) 70% - saturate the pad, allow to dwell a minute then gently massage for a minute. Squeeze out IPA.

Repeat.

Will get about 90%+ out.
