Wet Diamond application questions...

I an interested to hear of your experience with the Valugard system. We have recently played with it and are not sure what we think of it yet. Let us know what you think.

No problem Jack.

I would assume if you're not sure what to think of it, you weren't that impressed?

I always apply BFWD to the entire car, then wipe off.

I use speed 2 or 2.5 on the Griot's polisher with a 3M black waffle pad (no cut).

You might want to play around with speeds to determine what works best for you.

I usually wait until the next day to apply a second coat, but I have also been known applied another layer immediately after the first with no cure time.:devil::devil:

you can leave it on as long as you like . It will come off very easy even if you let it set for hours . So go ahead and apply it to the whole car then buff off .

I like doing one panel at a time, But go with what you want. Always good to let it cure for some time so that you don't wipe the first coat with the second one.

I found that leaving it on while you do the whole car makes it a whole lot easier than it already is to remove.
I apply by PC speed 4-5 and LC Black pads.
I just placed an order from PAC for a couple of the new LC Gold pads. I can't wait to try it out.
~Cheers...

I understand that many people apply the BFWD with a DA machine but I'm not clear on removal.

Are you "buffing off the BFWD" with the DA or by hand ?

Athough the directions for BF Midnight Sun state to apply to a panel at a time I still apply it to the whole car then remove.

No problems yet. :wizard:

Just thought I would put that out there.

I don't know about others, but I have never removed anything by machine, only by hand.

I am not sure if its correct, but I have had great results by putting a thick MF under the PC pad and removing the Wet Diamond that way. I use a couple towels over the entire vehicle and it looks good. I do the same when removing wax.

I've done that also... works pretty well.
