Well...

Thinking a quick trip through the canyon isn't going to yield the same result.

Cadillac vs. Porsche
Never judge a book by the cover.
A couple years ago I went to a local drag strip test and tune night and they were running them however they were lined up.

This Mustang GT was up with a Chevy 4x4 suburban and when the light turned green that huge suburban left like it came off a catapult and pulled him by bus lengths.

When he returned to the pits I went down to check it out 454 big block with a blower. :rofl

Yeah, I've seen some remarkable sleepers over the years and the lines really get blurry when some of the diesel pick ups come into the picture. I've seen some sub 10's Cummins and Strokers running in the thin air of Utah. I thought this was a pretty good little vid. Hennesy seems to have a real love him or hate him following but some of the videos on his site are pretty cool. He seems to be able to get a wide variety of makes and models to run strong and his finished product usually looks pretty polished too.

That is why I have left the external part of my vette stock I love a street sleeper.
Only thing that gives it away is the extra wide rear tires but since most people know very Little about Corvettes they don't know what it should have anyway so very few suspect anything until it is too late. :D

BB, I'm thinking the instant you blip the throttle that blower is a dead give away too. As I've said before, blowers are cool, turbos are hot and nitrous, well... it's a gas. ;)

A few years back, I had a really clean little Pinto wagon. It had a rather warm, stroked and gassed small block with a top loader in it. Sitting at a street light there was no evidence it was anything other than a clean two tone Pinto wagon, roof rack and all. A number of Firebird, Mustang and Camaro owners got the chance to figure it out. As you said the tires were the only real give away. Looked like something your accountant grandfather would be driving, real sleeper. Certainly one of the funner cars I've owned.

I rarely use my nitrous the 406 at 20 lbs boost is usually more than adequate but it is nice to have a ace in the hole just in case.
