Well I fell in love with the S100 app. But got a question?

03COBRA

I miss my 03 Cobra......
Can you buy just the app pad, or do they just come with the S100? I guess I should email the S100 guys and see what they say. But does anyone know if you can get them some where, or not even possible. If I can't find them, what do you guys use for foam apps? I have been using the Cleakote Apps, but I have been hearing great things about the Meg's foam apps. Thanks for any input!! Anyone know of a similiar app that is available, I really like the round shape and size? Thanks

I like the meg's foam apps too, they are good quality and very inexpensive. Plus you can find them at walmart or most major car parts stores.

You can take out the actual piece of wax from the jar and rub it on the applicator. Then just slide the wax back in. This way, you don't end up like my neighbor, who scoops his turtle wax out in clumps. :o

I really want to find that piece of foam too 04cobra!!! I love that thing!

OMG me 2. It fits perfect in my hand and fingers. Someone posted a while back about cutting open a Megs foam app. They say it has two small foam pieces inside and will fit inside the S100 Jar perfectly.

Have to give it a try.

Heh, I don't much care for that applicator. Too small for my hands!

A suggestion I liked the sound of was to cut a Viking handi-grip applicator to fit in to the S100 jar. Haven't gotten around to trying that yet.

Meg's foam app. has two small pieces of foam inside the applicator? I always thought they were just two pieces of foam fused together, hence the little rdge around the middle. :nixweiss

Unless I misunderstood.

I emailed p21s today. I will let you guys know what they say when I get a response, stay tuned!! Good to see other people with the same feeling. I think I will give the Meg's pad slice a try!!

Well guys I finally got a response! Maybe if we get enough of you guys to let them know of your interest, maybe we can get something going. Here is the email.

Dear Kyle,

These pads are created from the shipping carton packing inserts (12 rings which hold the wax in place during shipment) and, as such, this only turns up enough to put one in each jar of wax. To start up a separate program requires a lot of interest which we have not really seen. Still, we will note your interest and if we see a lot of others making a similar comment, might be able to get something going. In the meantime, the folks at properautocare.com have a lot of pads and the like and they should be able to supply you something suitable. Thanks for being a P21S user!

Kind regards,

P21S Customer Service

Wow that sounds really professional:rolleyes:

Sounds to me like we should be looking at shipping foam. Im sure we could get 36X36 sheets for a few bucks, if P21S does decide to sell they would sell that little thing for the price of an entire sheet.

I once saw an air conditioner filter in Home Depot that I swear was the same material. I like that little applicator

Man, I love that little applicator too. I just releases the wax so smoothly and effortlessly onto the car surface.

BTW, I've been leaving mine in the jar when I'm done, and it's gotten kinda "bloated". Is this happening to everyone else's?

Tony

Maybe if we could find out the packaging material company or supplier of the material, we could buy a few sheets and use cookie cutters for what ever sizes we need, depending on tin size we are using. Come to think of it, I really like the applicator as well, or is it the wax i really like? or perhaps both? :D

Can we cut big ones out, and use them on the pc? they seem to cause less friction when appling wax then regular pads, or is it the wax? :o
