My wife and I were both due for new cell phones last month so we splurged and both got new 8GB iPhones. Let me just say that they are absolutely amazing. I mean...seriously...I no longer need anything with me except for this handy phone. I've got internet, e-mail, iTunes, weather, text mesaging, GPS...this baby does everything except wipe my butt for me. And if I know Apple, they're working on that one right now.

So if anyone else is on the fence regarding this thing, it's SO worth it. I had a Razr prior to this and I thought it was great, but this one takes the cake!

Anyway, just thought I'd share that.

Anyone else got one? If so, how do you like it?

i think its a cool phone but until it comes out on the Verizon network i will never touch it.

Well you could put it on the Verizon network if tyou are willing to crack the code...:)

Actually you can't. Even if you "crack" it, they are 2 different technologies.

Verzion is CDMA and AT&T is GSM.

Of the major co's in the US the only one you could use it on is t-mobile. But you could take it to Europe and use it if it were cracked.

All the things that you mentioned are true. I purchased the iPhone the first day it was available(in other words the "Bleeding Edge" of first responders). I wonder, if after a year of use with your iPhone, will you still have the same opinion. I know mine opinion is different at present than it was a year ago.

Tony

I'm on the fence post about this phone...I to am in the market...I've heard good and bad things about it...people that I know have had to replace them as the freeze up..battery problems, connection issues...I guess everything that comes along with newer technology...I suspect that the first ones in the market suffered this a lot.

Anywho....let us know how it goes I'm looking at one for me and the wife

Any issues with this phone?

None with the old one...I have heard problems with the 3g one. But I don't think everyone is experiencing that problem...plus its alot faster then mine when you are not within the range of a wireless router.

I have last years model and absolutely love it. All 3 of my e-mail accounts are set up on it, music on the go, internet all the time, service is great and the new apps are pretty cool. I went on a road trip a few months ago and I was able to browse the internet the whole trip (phone plugged in, of course). Only downside is the battery life and the screen gets nasty. I have a clear sticker on the front but it still gets dirty. I love the iPhone!!

I've had one since last Sept. and never had a problem with it. it does everything I want and then some and it doubles as my iPod, calculator, keeps my price lists, checks emails, calendar, and on and on. Soon I'll get the new 3G and now it will also by my GPS system. Think about it... it's a phone, iPod, PDA, and GPS in one, all for $299!!! Plus it's a pretty decent camera in a pinch.

How could you NOT love this thing?

Oh, and a little Zaino on the screen and case and it keeps better than when it was new!

I was in the market for a phone a while ago and entertained the idea of getting one. Instead, I went with a Samsung Blackjack II and couldn't be happier.

this baby does everything except wipe my butt for me.
Well that does it then, I'm not getting one. :rofl

Did you I phone users ever see this???
I was just reading about this over on the Factory Five Cobra Forum. Those guys seemed to think this program was the hot ticket. They said it worked well better than the other applications they had been using and was priced right. One said it was within a few percentage points of his actual dyno numbers.

It really is very cool......for some. The cost for leading edge technology is beyond reach for those of us that just want a simple telephone that works and doesn't drop calls. I am another that won't consider anything until it's available through Verizon.
