Weird Stuff You Have "Detailed"?

Todd@RUPES

Just a regular guy
I'm looking for pictures right now of an old lawn mower that I polished, dressed the engine, and topped with wax. It was a HUGE turnaround. What are some of the unique things you have found yourself detailing?

I recently was asked to polish a wooden rifle stock. I dug out the trusty PC a 3" Megs backing plate and Griot's Garage 3 Inch Orange Polishing Foam Pad and some M101.

They came out awesome! The owner was so happy with the results that he brought me three more to do.

You wouldn't happen to be my brother in-law would you? He literally just about gives his mower and gas grille for that matter a full detail after every use. I swear when he sees my mower he must look at it with disgust.:D

I'm glad I'm not the only one with the sickness!!

I just spent 2 hours cleaning and detailing my Honda HRX217 push mower.

I have before and afters as well as some video. I topped with CarPro Hydro2. :D

I did my garage freezer and my 2 tool boxes. I have a plastic newton mower but I'm sure if I had a regular mower it would be all polished.

No detail but a good cleaning. My wife and I were at Macy's and she decided to buy a new purse. The one she liked was out of stock and only had the display model available for purchase. She got a great deal on it since it was dirty and had smudges all over. She was hesitant to get it due to the condition. I told her that I can clean it up for her no problem.

Products used:

Ultima Interior Shampoo Gel
Leather cleaning brush
BF leather conditioner
Foam applicator
16x16 MF towel

My wife couldn't believe how well it came out. Thanks ACC!

Used my GG with a white pad on a stainless steel sink in my kitchen with some of the Frankie Polish it came with. made the job so much easier. Wife though I had lost it until she saw the mirror it turned into. I only wish I knew the way it would have come out before I started. Truley Amazing.

Not full on detail but I do use detailing products all over the house and on my guitars (I build guitars). I've used APC to clean my BBQ grill. Rain-X on my in shower shaving mirror so it sheets water better. Meg's D120 and CG glassworkz glass cleaner for cleaning windows, kitchen counters and mirrors in the house. Loads of different waxes, glazes polishes, sealants and detail sprays used on my guitars. Cleaned the fiberglass outdoor patio tables with APC then polished the grime out of them with an old orange pad and some Meg's #9 on my DA a few years ago.

I was bored this Spring and decided to wetsand out all the orange peel on my riding mower. It's single stage and took forever, but after a couple hours and half a sixpack later, it was the best looking lawnmower on the block. I think it's about due for another coat of PB's EX for the winter :D
