Weird Noise coming from rear of car

I like the smell of new leather in a car. I have a Lexus and I want to know what is best to use on the leather seats. I am currently using Lexol cleaner/conditioner. I have heard of the following products:



1.) Zaino Z-10 Leather Conditioner

2.) Zaino Z-9 Spray cleaner

3.) Connolly Hide Food

4.) Griot's Garage Leather Scent

5.) Eagle One leather Cleaner/conditioner



Which of these products will have the scent of new leather and will last long.

Will the Connolly work with Japanese leather?

I have all of these and can assure you that they will all work on Japanese leather. Connolly is thick and is time consuming to use on perforated leather. (sticks in the holes)



Smell is a personal thing but I like them in this order: Connolly, Pinnacle, Eagle One, Zaino, Wizards, Griots.
 
I know that terry prefers the AutoGlyms to the Colony Hide food in smell and sais that they do about the same job. Interestingly enough, i remember reading that most japaneese cars, Lexus included dont have a leather smeel. The smell comes from the chemicals used to tan the leather. Most of the japaneese market dont like the smell of leather in their cars, makes them think of dead cows (go figure), so when the leather for japaneese cars is tanned, they use mostly scentless chemicals. I have been in a brand new lexus LS and they do smell great though! I dont like the Griots though, smells like chemicals.
 
Zaino Z10 has a low gloss factory shine, and smells just like leather. Lexol is a bit glossier and does not smell like leather in my opinion......
 
Thanks. I guess I will try the Connolly Hide Food. I could use it once in a while and alternate this with the Lexol and 303. BTW, how long does the smell last? a couple days, a week???
 
I never really notice the leather smell in new cars but I do smell all them vinyls and plastics. Before I bought my truck I sat in cloth, leather, and combo cloth/leather ones and they all smelled the same to me.



Maybe my nose is shot from all the nights on Bourbon street I dunno.
 
Hey guys, I have an 09 Accord with 25000 miles on it and last night coming home from work I started to hear an extremely weird sound while driving, its like a squealing sound/ could possibly be a grinding sound but can't really pinpoint it. Mostly the sound only occurs when going over a slight bump, making a right turn, and as of today just driving a straight road. I'm assuming its part of the suspension but I could be wrong. I will be taking it to a dealership today as much as I hate that idea, but do you guys have any ideas on what could possibly be wrong?
 
Not sure how rear drive trains are built today, but I had that problem in college with a 64 Ford Galaxie, it turned out to be a wheel bearing.

Thanks for the response, my car is front wheel drive but I also have gotten responses that say it could possibly be a wheel bearing.

Thanks Angelo, the general consensus is that it's either my brakes, wheel bearing, or cv joint. My car is famous for rear brake pads wearing out at this mileage, so I guess I'm heading to the dealer after school. Thanks!

The only other thought is maybe a pebble got caught between your pad and rotor. If thats the case, the noise will go away soon. Unfortunately, it will have eaten a groove into your rotor :o

Also, make sure your e-brake is completely released(which I'm sure you have) :)

Thanks guys, turned out to be my pads so it was a quick fix. Yep I always make sure my e-brake is completely released. Glad it was a cheap and easy fix, only cost $50 for it installed.

I had a 64 Falcon. Straight 6, w/13" tires(if memory serves me well) w/factory hubcaps. Oh yea, it was baby blue :o

My car has a clutch, I can't tell you how many times I have driven off with the handle up. I always have that same feeling...Humn, my car sure does feel like its lost power then look down and say uh oh :o

Hahaha, at least you diagnosed the problem without freaking out, then go to the dealer/mechanic and find out its just the e-brake.
