Weekend trip.. what should I bring?

I live in FL, but it's just going to be about a 200 mile road trip.

I'll put that many miles on just commuting to work two days! A 200 mile road trip is nothing. Pack a bottle of QD and a couple MFs and you should be good to go. Above all check the tire pressures before you leave.

I would bring a roll of Duct tape...

And some good electrical tape too (the expensive 3M stuff is nice). Sometimes the electrical tape sticks better than the duct/gaffer's tape, depending on what's on the surface.

I would tape the front nose and the lip area. Those Acura paint is pretty soft too.

Haha I don't think I'll use any tape. Now that's over board. Come on guys! You think taking a few MF towels and some QD is too much? Hey, at least I'm not going to spend time washing or cleaning it when I'm there. What have you guys been reading? I'm only taking 3 to 5 different things which will all fit in a plastic shopping bag, and you guys think I'm taking my whole arsenal with me in the trunk? Am I too anal? No, it's called being prepared :think2

I just past 40,000 miles, and my car is looking good still... Read my sig below:woot2:

Why would I need tape? I have a CLEAR BRA

Obviously, some of you are not reading what I posted. I know some tape the lip, but no need for that. My bra covers that area, and my hood peice extends about half way up. I do have very small chips, but I can't control that.

Tire pressure is very key. I always check them right before I leave to make sure I get good gas mileage.

I agree, you're going a bit overboard. It's just a car, one that's daily driven! You must not have owned your car for long because there will be a day when no matter how far you park or how isolated you are, someone or some thing will find a way to put a scratch, dent, or ding in your car. Sorry to give you the bad news, but it's inevitable unless you want to just have a garage queen. You can't obsess about little things like that, especially when it's going to be a nice car trip for some R&R.

I owned this car for almost 2 yrs this upcoming Aug. I had an 02 RSX-S for 4 yrs and did the same thing by parking away. No one touched it or scratched it. Yes it is inevitable, but sometimes being picky or playing the odds do work. (knock on wood)

Man, some of you are trying to give me bad luck? Maybe I should just deal with it myself rather than asking for some help here. Anyway, everything will be ok.

I thought you left last yesterday...Dude, its a message board. Its a great message board, but if you are on vacation, then why?

I can understand the QD and mf towels, but you're bringing ScratchX with you too. Who tries to repair a scratch while on vacation? That to me is just a bit too anal, especially considering this is just a 200 mile road trip. You should just enjoy your time with your family instead of worrying about a car.

Thanks guys. I had a huge rock hit my hood!! GRRR!!

Oh well. Crap happens, but other than that, I had a great weekend in Otown. Lets see what I can do with this huge rock chip this week.
