Weekend Hobby for $$$$?

If I had to do it by hand I would charge more!!! :waxing:

I'm surprised people aren't understanding my perspective... I don't polish (minus AIO) thus I offer LESS then someone who can whip out some compound and remove ALL the swirls. Since I offer LESS, I must therefore charge less :)

I understand your point completely, however, there are people who do not want a machine to touch their paint. You can capitalize on this by offering a unique hand polishing service, and charge a premium for it. I already mentioned a couple products that are very effective by hand. If not, maybe you will have to buy and learn how to use a machine.

I see. Thus far I haven't met any "hardcore" car enthusiasts who really care for much more then a wash and Natty blue. The majority of my customers have been "tainted" by the car wash, who offers a basic wash, dressing, and wax for $99-$140. Thus thats all they expect, and anything more is "over the top." Hopefully I'll start to meet more people falling into the category you mentionted.
