WeatherTech Cleaning?

I have weathertech mat's in both trucks. I seem to keep the black ones pretty clean, they only need to be brushed and wiped. I can't seem to get the tan ones very clean and then they are too greasy! Is there a fail safe way of cleaning these?

Ron, welcome aboard!

I generally use whatever APC is close at hand. Never had an issue, they clean up perfect.

I usually spray my mats with a pressure washer. Gets them pretty clean. You can follow up with an APC if you want.

I too clean mine with APCs, though I've tried Griot's Rubber Cleaner too (can't say it was a whole lot better though). Gotta admit my light gray ones have some staining that won't come out, but eh...they're severe-duty floormats :nixweiss

WeatherTech Just came out with a New cleaning solution and protector specifically for WeatherTech® products. The Protector dries to an anti slip finish. The Cleaner quickly removes scuffs, dirt, oil stains and more. Both products are Biodegradable and are EPA approved. They are now available in the USA and Canada.

Good to know, but man how do you guys respond to this stuff so quick? I once posted a snippet of an academic article to another forum and within a day the author somehow found my post, registered, and chimed in.

*edit - lost the quote block for some reason, but I was trying to respond to Weathertech Guy.

Weathertech Guy- Hey, welcome to Autopia! You folks sell some good stuff, and Kudos for your "in the USA" approach :xyxthumbs

Now if you'd just make FloorLiners for Ford Crown Vics....hey, there are a zillion of those cars getting used and abused, bet I wouldn't be the only guy buying a few sets. Heh heh, sorry couldn't resist...

You mean you don't just have the factory P71 rubber floors?

Heh heh, nah...my current CVs are nicely equipped :D But yeah...I'd almost *prefer* the rubber floor; really liked those in my 9C1 Caprices.
