Wearing glasses

I know, this is a very old post ---

Welcome to "your eye lens has started to harden and will not focus really close and sharp very quickly any longer, life" :)

Lasik will only work on people with enough eye material that they can grind off to reshape the lens of your eye...

Yeah, sounds yucky to me.. :)

But even then, it will not give you very sharp vision, instead, it will be more of a softer vision that is not as sharp if you need sharp vision..

I told them I needed to be able to see little tiny wires, colors or wires, glass fiber, all the stuff a Telecom person needs in every day work, be able to read little tiny writing, etc.., and I needed absolutely sharp, clear, vision..

This is what they told me when I spent a good half a day at their Center going through all the tests to see if I could qualify for Lasik Surgery...

And it is not very inexpensive...

I instead got Mono-Vision contacts and this is the best thing ever !

Your dominant eye gets a 20/20 contact correction and your other eye gets less than 20/20..

Your brain figures out the difference in a way, that you get really sharp close up vision and your long distance vision is a little less than 20/20, but its still fine...

I have loved this for years and will not go back to any dang glasses, etc., cause I like everyone else almost, lose them, break them, wreck them, etc...

Told my sister in Texas who was having fits with her glasses, and she absolutely loves Mono-Vision contacts now too!

Have had it for at least 18 years and absolutely no problems, issues, etc...

Good luck with your eyes, mi Amigo's/Amiga's !!!
