We have a new Expert Detailer

Most of these videos are on YouTube under the user ExpertVillage. Go into their videos section and in the search box type "auto" or "auto detail" and most of these videos will show up, since there are so many videos uploaded by ExpertVillage it is very hard to find those particular ones by just browsing page after page.

LMAO these vids are hilarious. I tell myself he can't be serious, but this guy looks like he is.

Once again proves that, just because you do something for a living, that does not make you a professional at what you do....

I think expertvillage just went out and found some people to create a bunch of videos to create content for the village. These guys are probably innocent enough but remember who is calling them professionals.

Hey now no need to bash on us Bimmer owners :) And what in the world can you buy from Sears for any cars, other than tools to work on the car?

Now now I'm not bashing on ALL Bimmer owners. Just that one in particular. It was like no one could offer him any advice because a "professional" told him what to use and that's all that there was to it.

oh man, to think I wasted money on a new compressor when all I need to detail the interior is an old t-shirt and some Q-tips. And the dish detergent, I could have been saving a fortune

:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :bawling: :faint:

You know it would be pretty cool is some the pro's here on Autopia could put together a couple of videos and post them up. It would be interesting to see some of you guys work your craft as opposed to just reading about it. :think2

There are many videos and pic's taken by many detailers here.

If you want to look at some detailing videos, here are some I've found on YouTube:

YouTube - AutoGeek

YouTube - MaximusZTS

And then a video from Mike Phillips of Meguiar's on how to properly wash your car:

How to Wash Your Car (ShowCar style!)

And then if you want to pony up some cash and learn how to use a machine polisher you can buy the DVD that Richard Lin and Mike Phillips made. I hear they are working on producing a rotary instructional DVD as well:

ShowCarShine - ShowCarDetailing - The Art of Polishing Paint

I came across those expert village vids earlier this year and they are absolutely appalling.

They have no idea at all

I think Jason tried to sell me a set of speakers from a van in a parking lot before.

It's truly sad if these guys are actually running a business doing this level of work. At least Jose is somewhat enthusiastic. He can probably be brought over from the dark side. Jason, on the other hand... definitely gives "expert car dealers and detailers" a bad name.

It's like a car wreck. You know you shouldn't look, but you do anyways!

Man... Was that his Armor All rag he used on the glass??

Armor All overspray from the dash onto the windshield.

And what's that about not using a brush to clean carpet because it brings up dirt that's deep in the carpet? You want to clean only the top and forget the rest? Out of sight, out of mind? (Well, out of mind, I guess...)

Yo, help me out. I just went to the Autopia store, and didn't see any of that fancy Armorall Tire Foam listed for sale. Did it all get bought up after seeing this video series?:p :grinno:

I need to know where to buy da blue rag to match with da foaming spotter with da blue label. Da chemicals in it are more intense. But my favorite product is still da All-Purpose
