Way to go meguiars

Care to explain? Or to provide an OTC replacement for Prima Amigo? I haven't found one, so if you could find one for me that would be great. Just curious what you know that I don't.

I suppose it depends on what you're after, there. My understanding was that Amigo is non-abrasive and relies on fillers alone to mask light swirls.... which isn't exactly something impossible to find if that sort of function is your kind of thing.

Personally, I'd rather remove the swirls than hide them temporarily. :surrender

True enough - although what I was getting at was that it was sealant friendly / polymer based glaze, which I can't think off-hand that you can readily find OTC. I'm not sure there's a "boutique" direct replacement, although I am pretty sure someone out there can correct me on that. And I've never used a OTC product that covers as well as it does. So in that case, yeah, I think the higher priced, harder to get product was better. But I do use a lot of OTC stuff.

In a perfect world I'd rather polish my vehicle out to perfection. But the real world happens to be where I have to spend a lot of my time these days, and some things in the real world make you realize just how small a priority having a 100% mar free daily driver is. If I can spend an hour doing something that looks like I spent all day doing it - and keep in mind a lot of folks don't have the eye for paint finish that some of us do - then I'll take it.

It's not the name it's the guy doing the work and how the car is presented to the judges. I've spent all my free time at these shows representing cars. Anyone who knows what they are doing can do well with whatever product they choose. To an extent. Gives detailers a bad name and promotes product above talent.
