Waxing ?

I am new to the forums and have a question about waxing. I currently use the Meguairs NXT Generation Tech Wax after I wash and clay my truck. Is this wax good to use by itself to protect the paint? I hear stuff about clear coat car wax and cleaner waxes. I like the Meguairs line and would like to stick with them so what else can I use to protect the paint?

Also what is the proper order to apply waxes and polish?

NXT is a nice wax. Yes, it can be used by itself, but for a better looking paint, use a light polish or glaze and then NXT. You could also top NXT with a carnauba wax if you wish for a different look. If you have any swirls, spider-webbing, scratches get some abrasive polish, do this step after claying. Then the process would be:



Wash

Rinse

Clay

Rinse

Polish To Remove Swirls, Scratches.....etc

Light Polish or Glaze

Sealant and/or Wax
