waxing twice?

well last night I decided to use my new PC on my hood for a full detail. Once i began to apply the p21s wax to protect the paint after the polish the wind started up and i knew it was about to rain. Panicing, I asked my dad to apply the wax on the other side of the hood so i could finish before the rain. I am not 100 percent confident every inch of the hood was protected, although the hood looks okay today. Can i rewax it today for added protection? should i wash it first?
 
I'm guessing that since you wanted to finish waxing it before the rain you car is not garaged. If it sat outside overnight there could be more on the surface than just dust.



If it was mine I would wait until the next time you wash it to put a second layer of wax on.
 
yeah no biggie, most of us in here wax every other wash or so becuase we are crazy, right now my car ( and i cant say weather or not which product was comprimised and taken over by) has 2x aio 2x sg 845x2 nbx2 and s100. not to mention several applications of 425 and variant spray waxes. thats all in id say a four month span so wax away. really depends on what youre after keep it simple if you want that high shine and pop. my car doesnt exactly pop due to so much wax but it beads like a college girl at mardi gras and the protective aspects allow me to sleep at night...in my car.
