This person that owns a mercedes was telling me that you are not suppose to wax them...

Is this true? Kind of sounds ridiculous to me!

You're right, the Benz owner is wrong. I wouldn't bother arguing it though...

Wrong - The owner probably assumed or was told that because their vehicle has CeramiClear paint, it's "scratch resistant" and does need to be protected. Not true. You can use what ever you'd like and treat it just like standard paint.

To determine if your car has CeramiClear paint, check out the production decal on the driver's door jamb/door shell. Notice the “C” in the paint code C590:

As mentioned wax and protect the paint.

I too had a client tell me the same due to the dealership she bought the car from telling her not to ever have it waxed... It was tough to convince her otherwise. Why do people believe dealership nonsense??

They probably think the dealership guys are "authorities", huh? Too bad it's not so... :sadpace:

They told my late stepmother the same thing, and she actually reamed me out for detailing it... "you're not supposed to wax it!" so I just shrugged it off and watched it deteriorate.

i wonder if they charges extra for the no wax?! lol

then after a year they car looks like shitthey call one of the guys on here for a correction.
