Well, after reading posts on here and other car care forums, I decided to take the plunge! My dads car is a 2000 BMW 540i...Jet Black in color. Joy! :bounce Anyways, his car has been waxed twice in its life time...once by him, another at a quick detail place. I'm only 18 so i've never waxed a car before and decided to try!Heres what I did

- Washed the wheels/tires first

- Washed the car with Meguiars Gold Class wash/shampoo using a lamb mit

- Dried

- Clay'd the whole car! (never been done) WoW! It took of SO MUCH DIRT! Incredible!

- Waxed with NXT (put on by hand)

- Put on 2nd layer of NXT (hand again)

And here are the results! Not bad I think for my first time.

Great job, especially for your first. Not only that, but you took the plunge and started out on a black car!!:bounce

I am completely impressed!!:up

People over at the meguiars website said its best if you do layer it...Hmm

I think it's always wise to put at least two coats of any wax. It may not layer (which I think is somewhat over rated), but it will insure even coverage of the wax. That BMW looks awfully purdy. Good job.:xyxthumbs

Hey z. Saw this on YFZcentral.com. It looks awesome. Two coats of NXT just ensure uniform ceverage. Just as BlkStang.

Very nice pictures. And very nice car.

Small huh?

Yeah well quads and detailing is about my life. I have an '04 YFZ pretty much stock. Cam mod, poor mans pipe, jetted, lid off. The usual. Detailing keeps me busy enough. Too hot to ride anywhere close to Vegas right now.

Im VegasYFZ on your site by the way.
