Wax, sealant, cure time

The problem I see with a non-cross-linked polymer that has a Carnauba wax applied over it, is that the solvents in the wax will leach oils to the polymer which will affect its catatonic bonding with the paint (as well as its strength and durability as already stated) and why the polymer is in a â€Ëœfluxâ€â„¢ (i.e. not yet fully bonded0 the wax (which relies mostly on surface tension, which works best with a solid (as opposed to a semi liquid surface) so itâ€â„¢s bonding is also effected.

what do you think about PB EX as it is a a poly sealant and carnauba ??

That's one for a car care product chemist, I only know they use an emulsion to make it work (I know the 'why' but not the 'how')

For the fun of it, I've been doing some lab tests on the curing of polymer finishes, Klasse SG in particular. 5 minute cure time max, and that's for a thick coat. Very thin coats cure in a few seconds. The 24 hour cure time claim is absurd and not suppored by any research or evidence. More to follow as I continue the lab tests.

Can you provide us how do you test the polymer finishes? The Autopians are looking for more details to support such a claim.

I, too, would like to know what methodology was used in your lab tests, foxtrapper.
