Wax Remover.

I waxed my car with a mothers wax about two weeks ago but I'm not pleased with the results. Can I just apply another wax over it or do I need to use something to remove the wax? If I need to remove the wax, what can I buy at pepboys or autobarn to remove it.

As you can see I am new at this so any input would be helpful.

Mothers generally makes a very good product. One thing you might consider is doing some prep work with a good polish first. It doesn't matter what wax you buy if the paint hasn't been properly prepped first you aren't going to get good results. Meguiars and Mothers both make 3 step systems which include a polish to clean the paint, a glaze to add gloss and lastly a carnauba wax. Both systems should be easily found at just about any auto parts store.

I agree with rjstaaf. I've had good results with Mother's products. So the question is, which products did you use and on what? Now that you have purchased the products, let't make sure you are using the right one for the given situation. Pictures help.

Yes, describing your paint condition and explaining what exactly you aren't happy about would help, as would how you used the wax. Supply a picture if you can, but often defects and problems are hard to capture well. You shouldn't have a problem with Mothers products generally unless something is amiss here.
