Wax remover

Ok, I have a big problem. I have wax on the plastic textured trim on my 2009 GMC Denali. I've tried Tarminator, wax blaster and everything else I could think of and still no luck.

There has to be something that will break this down to be wiped off.

Who has some experience in this?

JG

I would try some isopropyl rubbing alcohol with a toothbrush. Sounds like it's been there a while, though, and may have permanently stained it. If that is the case you will have to dye it. Try "Forever Black Trim Reconditioning Dye". Just make sure you clean the trim well first.

Easiest thing to do is apply more wax to the infected area, then wipe clean before it has a chance to dry

You could also use an APC and medium grade brisseled brush

i made the mistake of leaving masking tape on too long and the glue stuck to my trim when i removed it. dont know if it'll work for your problem but meguiars super degreaser took it right off no problem

Peanut butter w a brush and some water on the brush.

Sent from my EVO 4g.

Bryan, you are always using your head. Now you can detail while having your lunch....
Does that really work? I will have to try that. Would that work for dried polish as well on the black trim?

The peanut oil penetrates the effected area, but after it soaks in you have to clean up the PB residue. Or your vehicle is going to become very popular with the local birds and squirels. All else fails a repaint might become necessary...Good Luck......

Not really, nothing worked well. I did get my doc bailey's leather die out and that was the best result I could come up with so far.

I never tried the peanut butter though and I might try it next.
