Wax recommendation

Diabolic- Welcome to Autopia!

What do you value in a LSP (Last Step Product, i.e., wax/sealant)? I almost always just recommend Collinite brand wax, but then some stores carry it...

Since 90-some % of how a vehicle looks is in the prep, which wax/etc. to use gets to be a mighty personal opinion. I usually just go for durability and dirt-shedding, hence the Collinite suggestion. If you want to play around with tweaking that last 5% of looks via a specific LSP, it'll depend what you want to see.

Man...dozens upon dozens of possibilities here. I never hesitate to recommend Poorboy's Natty's wax - it's a great value with terrific results. Clearkote CMW is another awesome product, particularly at the price point.

Keep in mind, just like Accumulator mentioned, that the results from any wax are only as good as what was done to prepare the paint. Might be worth reading through the forums and perhaps investing in some cleansers & polishes as well.

I'm going to mention FK 1000P. It's cheap, extremely durable and it looks great! It's been my go to LSP for the last few weeks.

Well I ordered Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0 since it was on sale at Autogeek. What other stuff should I get? like pre-wax polishes/cleaners?

well your off to a good start with that wolfgang stuff, what do you have already? buffer, dual action, rotary? pads? ever buffed before? any polishs? ect, how much you looking to spend, I stared off with some souns stuff (nice stuff) like 300 or so now about a year and a bit later I have well over 2000 in stuff... so it all depends on what you want.

you might like the menz po106ff thats stuff polishs and leaves one heck of a nice shine, of corse follow with a glaze and sealant. You can use the 106ff with both the orange and white pad depending of the aggresiveness you need.

Here is a few waxes that won't break the bank and I've always got excellent results and would have a hard time justifing paying more for a daily car or weekend car.

P21S Concours ($30)

Collinite 476 ($14)

Finish Kare Pink Wax and K1000P ($15ish or so)

ClearKote Carnuba Moose Wax ($20) (my next order/friend got some and we put it on and its outstanding)

Megs. 26 (teens)

Any of those you won't be disappointed.
