Carnauba on my own car, never found a sealant that looks quite as good as a good carnauba on black. On customer's cars, I use both sealants and carnaubas depending on what the color is and what level of durability is needed based on how often they have their vehicles sealed.
 
Sealant here with Optimum spray wax in between. For customer's cars sealant only unless wax is specifically requested.
 
Nuba all the way on my dd and client vehicles. The only time I use Zaino now is if a client specifically requests it.
 
I guess I'll be the only one to say that I prefer carnauba wax as opposed to sealants. For me, durability is not an issue as I enjoy putting a good layer of wax on my cars whenever it needs it. I think applying waxes is more enjoyable and easier than sealants.



Zaino is great and it lasts longer than anything else, but I've been using it for so long now that the change to wax I guess is a new experience for me that I'm really enjoying.



Also, the beading I get from waxes doesn't compare to Zaino, for example. It makes my life a lot easier when I have to dry the vehicle.
 
So far I've only used Zaino but after reading all of the threads on black cars, I'm getting ready to clean it up and use P21S to see the difference. Later on I may even try the nuba over the Zaino although I really do not see how you can get depth over the top of a sealant. :buffing:
 
Zaino for my car and my family cars.



I like NXT, but doesn't last as long. I also used to use Megs Yellow Wax till NXT came out.
 
I use carnauba mostly but sometimes I do use sealant too. It depends on my mood & how long since I use the stuff I have. :)
 
The plan:

Carnauba in summer, CG 50/50 over #7.



Sealant in winter, Jeffs Prime Strong/Acrylic Jet, topped with Collinite 476s.

Carnauba never lasts long enough on my daily driver. Particularly in the summertime.



During the winter in the snow belt, it's even more important.



Protection is the #1 item in my book. (If you can't protect it, you can't make it look good.)



I only use Zaino.
 
I really like the whole experience of applying a wax. Maybe it is just nostalgia, but I do enjoy the work involved.



Unfortunately, the lot I park at during the day is close to a construction site and I get tons of fallout that covers the car. Couple that with the tropical weather (rain, sun, rain, sun...) and I'm finding that the waxes I use offer limited protection. Since switching to sealants, I see much less waterspots and a greater majority of the fallout that ends up on the car gets washed away instead of embedding itslef into the clear.

I do this to, to some extent, except warm weather is experimenting season for me. I stick with a good, strong sealant in the winter, and play with all manner of products during the warmer weather, both sealants and carnaubas.
