Wax on top of a coating? What's your take?

Their is not point topping a coating. .

that's what im gathering now. i actually think the truck gets a little dirtier with the nuba on top.

just noticed that black label now makes a coating topper and detail spray so probably going to pick those up and use them instead

I think it's fine to top a sealant....but when it comes to Optimum Pro and CQuartz Finest...no need to top

well i went with the black label because i think i read something on one of the sites about how it is made to be topped with nuba. or would accept nuba better than other coatings, etc.

im not going to say that i wont wax on top of the black label again. sometimes you just have to do certain things. i think the nuba does attract more dirt than the coating so i feel it almost defeats the purpose even given it does probably shine a little bit more

takes away some of the 'glassy' look and adds depth but surface is left even more slick than before.

now just waiting on a rinseless wash from black label, come on todd! you've got a QD and gloss coating booster now--just when i had decided not to spend any more money

If you have the right coating, applied correctly it is a total waste of time, Product=money and effort.

If you have a true coating, nothing will stick to (read last anyway)

i guess i just have too much time on my hands. lol

it looks pretty good though, cant really tell the difference much unless in person. camera phone only has 10 megapixels. or maybe its just my mind

but it gave me something to do

It's just more protection, at least temporarily. But if that's what you love then go crazy and enjoy!:autopia:

so this brings me to my next thought and subsequent question...

why dont they make a device that measures the slickness of your lsp? that would be great

im not that kind of scientist so somebody make it happen! haha

They do. It's called your hand cushioned with a super soft microfiber towel :)

yes indeed and i have many of those

but i was looking for a more objective measure of course

i guess you could measure it by how many towels you have to change out because they slid off the paint. haha
