Waterless Wash System?

L&I Detailing

As I was getting some boats ready for the Newport Show, I had the idea of possibly using these waterless washes that ive seen people use on here for the indoor boat shows where there is no access to water and it can be tricky to clean these boats that have been sitting outside in the winter months.

Can someone explain to me exactly how these work and if you think they would work on boats or is not effective or worth it on gelcoat?

Heres one sample of what we did for Newport with access to water a fresh polish and wax job. Had to tarp off and tape the wood on this learned the hard way polish doesnt come out of wood easy!

L&I - We asked ourselves the same question! We also do boats and RV's and this is when we needed to start looking for an alternative to the basic hand wash. We started using a waterless wash and liked it so much we put our personal label on it and sell it. The great thing with this product is that we started using it as a waterless wash, and realized that it had so many other uses. When used as a waterless wash, especially on boats, it is extremely effective. It doesn't harm the gelcoat at all, so you can spray on, and let it sit before wipping away. Its great for the grime that has just been sitting on the surface. We also carry a water tank on our mobile units, and have mixed the product in the tank to use to spray the surfaces as well. It can be used on wood, plastic, glass, etc. You name it! I definitely suggest looking into it...making your job easier!

Yes it will be effective on gel-coat.

In the case of BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond Waterless Wash, it is very rich in the "wet diamond" polymers, as well as mild cleaning agents. When the waterless wash is applied (sprayed) on the paint the hyper reactive polymers begin to adhere to everything, including the paint/gel-coat as well as the dirt and grime. This creates a microscopically thin, yet extremely effective barrier between all of the solid material. In addition, Wet Diamond Waterless Wash has engineered lubricants so that this encapsulated material can be wiped away without scratching the paint.

Thanks for the answers sorry for the delayed response things have been hectic with boat show season. Definitely going to give it a try looks like it will make my life much easier in the future!

I have heard nothing but good stuff about the Blackfire WW like Todd suggested.

I have experience with Ultima WW+ and it is some of the best stuff I have used for the money. I would highly suggest it.
