waterless vs rinseless wash preference

Which do you like and which do you think is safer for the paint? I think rinseless might be a little safer if the applicator is very wet. They seem similar:
for rinseless, a wet towel on a dry surface
for waterless, a dry towel on a wet surface

I wet the panel on a rinseless and use a lot of product with waterless, most of us here probably do the same.
 
rinseless..only time I use waterless is for jambs or touchup spots

Ive used the new meguiars wash plus+ that works well...doesnt strip wax though as ive did several cross hatch passes vigerously ...only temporarly masked the LSP beading effects

I feel more safe using that then waterless washing a car
 
I generally just do this...

hose down the vehicle (optional)
then spray panel with waterless wash
then rinseless wash
then use waterless wash as drying aid

I feel about the same. I`m sure a waterless is OK if you use a lot of product and a lot of towels, but a rinseless only requires an MF mitt, one plush towel as a mop to absorb large accumulations of product and one drying towel. I have three different waterless products on the shelf, but use them for bird bombs, quick wipe on an already clean car before polishing or on my garage queen Camino, when many folks would be using a QD.

True with Spray & Wipe, but UWW+ works well when applied heavily. I use a LOT of UWW+ and a LOT of towels when doing a waterless wash.

To OP`s question, I "like" waterless better, because that means my car wasn`t very dirty to begin with. ;)
 
A good topic here , funny , I was just about to generate a new thread about this ,I just recently purchased WG Uber rinseless and have not tried it yet , I have four personal cars and my wash areas face either due southeast or southwest which makes it hard to avoid sun exposure , my idea for light dirt and routine washes is to use my foam gun out doors early or at night and duck into one of my bays and to continue a wipe with lots of towells....what do you guys think or suggest ?

I`ve been using Waterless washes for almost 30 years and never had issues of a car being too dirty.

Yes, if very dirty more towels and product will be used, but those occasions are few and far between.

When I was a full time detailer, it saved me hundreds of hours of drying and gumming up of pads from dripping mirrors and jambs.

When i lived in an apartment it saved me from having dirty vehicles.

During drought times, my cars were always clean.

I`m sure there are plenty of people who are scared of the process, but since most of our sales are directed to Street Rods and Collectible cars there is no fear once used. :)
