Hi Every one
Some ideas please summer here in england is very sunny at the moment and the weather hot i dont get any shade to work in so washing range rovers and dark colours are a night mare for me .
It would be easier to pass up these jobs sometimes ,imagine trying to get around something like that with no shade and do a great job its not easy.
Im wondering if I could use something like a waterless detailer spray on say the roof bonnet and boot and wash the sides of the vehicle and wheels this would not be so stressfull.
Does any one use these kinds of products and some feed back would be great should I be charging any extra if im having to do the job this way.

Many Thanks .
Jason. :phone:

You should look into Protect All's QEW (Quick Easy Wash) product. It allows you to wash vehicles with a minimum of water and doesn't require rinsing. Also, specific waterless wash products like Poorboy's Spray and Wipe or Detailer's Pride Waterless Wash are good too.

I might also suggest getting a fold-out portable canopy to provide shade while detailing in the sun. One maker of these is EZ-UP http://www.ezup4u.com/ezup/tvr_sierra.htm

Poorboys spray & wipe would work and if you go to his site he has a dealer in England so you can reduce the cost for shipping and time it takes to get the product

Jason I use Spray and Wipe on the top parts of the suvs I do during the hot months. We've been hitting 100 a few days these past weeks and often no shade to be found. Another alternative is to use a water filtration system. I'm going to try a fairly inexpensive softening filter in the next week or two that has gotten decient reviews.

I love to use poorboys S+W but you have to know were its limiations lie. I dont use this if the car has noticible filth. When it gets to that level I turn to Protect All's QEW. It doesnt contain any suds it is just water with a chemical to melt away the dirt. It as said above uses very minimal water. You can use S+W for a pre wash for the vehicle for extra lubricicity. There is something you need to be careful of if you get S+W. You will have to be sure you can afford the 5 gallon size becuase it is awesome and you will use it .. ALOT.

I too have gotten great results with S&W, but as Greg mentioned be aware of it's limitations.
You didn't mention if you carry your own water supply, if you do there are a few threads regarding water softeners and deionizers spot free water filters

Good luck,

Thanks every one.
I will take action i have seen the poor boys stuff on the web here.
The option on the canopy is not possible due to the lack of space on the buisness parks that are my regular visits.
As for water yes I carry just under 100 gallons, and tomorrow I have a full job to do on a free lander which I shall do here at home loads of space water I have a freind helping who is bringing some type of spotless water filter for me to try .
Iam not so sure that it is possible to include this in my mobile setup with out loosing time with connections etc timing is crucial in the hot sun as we all know.
Will keep you posted on my findings.
